Mobile Commons Partners with National Cancer Institute to Help Teens Quit Smoking via Text Message - Yahoo! News:

Mobile Commons announced today it has partnered with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), part of the National Institutes of Health, to use text messaging to help teens and young adults quit smoking. Developed by smoking cessation experts, SmokefreeTXT provides the targeted advice and encouragement that young people need to quit smoking – all via text message. The text messages run in both English and Spanish, and the content is paced according to the recipient’s individual quit date. This announcement also marks the launch of Mobile Commons’ new health care edition – Mobile Commons for Health – which will allow the health care industry to integrate the power and reach of mobile messaging to improve health care outcomes.
