Just arrived back from an amazing 2 week vacation in Argentina and Chile (yes, followers, this means the barrage of photographs will (un)fortunately be ending).
The flight back was relatively easy. No major problems and everything was on time. Except we were a little late arriving to the airport in Buenos Aires; we got there 1 hour and 45 minutes before our scheduled departure. Now that doesn’t sound so bad, except for the TEN FUCKING LINES we had to wait in before boarding the airplane!
The lines ranged from 1-2 people (the “prove you paid the airport tax” line was pretty short) to hundreds of people (the Delta security line was somewhere in between the day the iPhone was released and Harry Potter Book 7).
It was pretty ridiculous. In their defense, the plane was actually in the air at 8:19 (scheduled take-off 8:15). And we landed about 45 minutes early. Quite nice! Also, flyingis so much less stressful outside of the States. Going through security took about 15 seconds and we didn’t have to take off our jackets, shoes, etc. It turns out that TSA security is by far the number one reason that I hate traveling.
Suffice it to say, we made it home in one piece. It’s nice to be back at a computer with an @ symbol and to hear chickens that go “cluck cluck” and not “cacaracá”.
