Verizon Raises Post-Paid SMS Rate To 20c →
Verizon (NYSE: VZ) has raised its post-paid SMS rate from 15c a message to 20c a message, following Sprint’s move three months ago, reports RCR News. Naturally, this is just a cynical push to get users to sign up to bundles of messages—SMS is the most expensive use of data on a per-meg basis, so there’s no justification for raising the price on the basis of supply costs.
